Last Thursday Mrs. Eleanor S. Thompson, wife of ex-Sheriff Joseph I. Thompson, died at the old homestead, at the Highlands of Navesink, of disability. She bad suffered from sickness a
long time. Her funeral took plans on Saturday morning at the house; and prayers were made by Rev. Wm. B, Harris, of Naveeink, and Rev. Charles D. Buck, of Middletown. The body was then taken to Freehold, where funeral services where conducted by Rev. Mr. Buck. At both Atlantic Highlands and
Freehold there was a large number of the friends and relatives of the family. The burial was in the cemetery at Freehold. The pall bearers were ex-Judge Geo. H. Sickles, Wm. H. Posteo, Jaa. H. Leonard, John J. Hopping, Derrick Q. Campbell and Robert G. Poole.
