ADELETTE B. THOMPSON, 86, of ENGLISHTOWN, died Saturday, May 27,[2006] at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Thompson was born in Nutley and had resided in Tennent for 12 years before moving to Englishtown 60 years ago. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Englishtown, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years and a former treasurer of the Sunday School. Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of Freehold High School, Class of 1936. She was a member of the Francis Hopkinson-Monmouth Courthouse Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Freehold, and a member of the Scudder Association.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Harry A. Thompson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jay B. and Marta Thompson of Tobyhanna, Pa., and Jon H. and Maria Thompson of Englishtown; two sisters, Eva Lou McLaren of Columbus and June Smith of East Freehold; a sister-in-law, Arlene Blair of Manasquan; and six grandchildren, Troy, Robert, Peter, Harry, Benjamin, and Alan Thompson.
